Kristen is the Director of Beckhaus Legal and is a solicitor with over 10 years’ experience.
Kristen was admitted to practise law in 2004 and has worked in both the public and private sectors. She commenced her legal career with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Beenleigh, Queensland as a law clerk and then a prosecutor.
In 2006 Kristen joined H Drakos & Company in Brisbane and had carriage of numerous different matters including civil and commercial litigation, criminal matters, wills and estates and leasing.
Before practising law, Kristen worked in marketing roles in the IT sector in Australia and abroad.
Outside of the office Kristen enjoys running, swimming, going to the horse races and spending time with family and friends. She is a member of the Sunshine Coast Law Association, Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, Lazy Runner Club, Brisbane Royal Show and the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW.

Kristen is also a director for Nambour Tramway Company Ltd which is committed to the re-activation of the heritage listed tram line in Nambour and is a key element of the Nambour Activation Plan.
Matt has been an accountant for more than 20 years, a financial planner from 2009, and a solicitor from 2013. He was admitted as a barrister in NSW specialising in commercial, tax, insolvency, equity, trade practices, and building and construction law and has recently become a solicitor, as Special Counsel, with Beckhaus Legal. Matt has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial law, taxation, insolvency and building and construction law that he has practiced in. With the skills, knowledge and experience as an accountant, Matt is most suitable to assist clients with various disputes and quantum of any loss or damage, identify business and commercial disputes and apply a sensible commercial approach to each matter.
Courtney is the Conveyancing Clerk at Beckhaus Legal and has worked in the legal profession for many years both in New Zealand and Australia.
Courtney will soon complete her law degree which she started at Victoria University in Wellington. When she moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2009 she continued her law degree studies as one of the first law students to attend the University of the Sunshine Coast. Courtney is also a Director on the Woombye Bendigo Community Bank board.
When Courtney graduates she hopes to continue her law career in property law, criminal law and family law.

Outside the office Courtney enjoys spending time with her children and keeping fit.
